At least in the early '90's, it was very easy to get your drink on at Tulane without any money being spent. Campus organizations of all sorts routinely had events with free and unlimited beer and/or booze. Heck, even the Chess and Gaming Club supplied alcohol on occasion....

It was a lot easier when the legal age was 18 and pretty much every student was 18. These days the hassle of carding (and liability if something happens to someone if they are underage) killed that.
